Dear Just A Gamers,
I don’t live in Berlin right now, but I’m planning a move (looking for jobs, in fact). I thought this out loud - via skype - to a friend of mine and she sent me a link to your job, because she knows how much I like videogames.
This seems rather fortuitous to me.
You, a company seeking gaming enthusiasts with good communication skills, native english speaking (I can also do a bit of French and on a good day some Spanish too…) and some community management experience. And Me, a Scottish twenty-something with writing, gaming and community management experience! (My name is Josh, by the by…)
I am a native English speaker (Scottish really, but we won’t split hairs).
I’m a gaming enthusiast: I started www.square-go.com (I tried to launch a gaming magazine, it worked well until the bankers brought down the economy and people stopped wanting to buy ads :/), so there can be no doubt of my love for videogames!
I worked for Gays.com as a Community Manager, no less. So that’s that box ticked….
What else did you want?
Team Spirit!? I can do that: I love playing football; you can’t do that alone!
Endurance: I love playing football. But I don’t do it so often (I’ve been travelling for the last two months). I’m not going to lie to you over email… I haven’t done any exercise in months. I have a strong mind, though. Does that count?
I’m looking for some part time work, to keep me fed and watered and off the streets. As well as to meet some new folk (as I said, I’m going to be moving there, but won’t really know anyone, so meeting some friendly gamers at work would be a blast).
You want some part-time workers! Again, coincidence? I think not. I’m looking for a job that allows me a modicum of flexibility but not too many hours a week so I can continue chasing my tail, writing, and chasing some tail.
If you do have part-time work going then please consider me as probably an excellent candidate. Because probably, I am.
Kind Regards and I look forward to hearing from you!
