I was having trouble. Green poison kept running and saying ‘failed’.
Soooo I eventually found this int the comments here. Which helped, although I don’t think is the answer…
I ran this, using Sudo and greenp0ison, and then noticed what the real problem was…
Lack of internet!
If you are getting a ‘:-( Failed’ when running green poison to jailbreak your iphone 4 on 4.2.1 odds are you aren’t online.
As soon as i wandered back into wifi signal it picked it up and got the files it needed from the internets.
Now sure why this isn’t made clearer on the official site, but the program needs to access apple servers to perform the jailbreak.
And to anyone having problems getting Cydia installed with green poison, simply rin RedSn0w with the ‘install cydia only’ option afterwards.
Job done.
Hope this saves someone some bother!
I need this. I just got an iphone.
Tumblerette is now the official Tumblr iPhone App! (and it’s free!)
Tumblerette was originally developed by the insanely talented Garrett Ross and Jeff Rock at Mobelux. We had the pleasure of hanging out with them in New York last month. Not only are these guys remarkable developers, they have an incredibly inspiring vision for building consumer products, and we couldn’t wait to start working with them on the next suite of Tumblr/iPhone features.
There’s a ton we have planned for mobile devices and the iPhone, and we’re obviously thrilled to be working with Jeff and Garrett :)
If you’ve already downloaded Tumblerette, you’ll need to re-download the new Tumblr app to get the updates. This version comes with some slick new features, including the iPhone native Dashboard. Go download it!! →
